As a group of us got to the lodge to purchase our trout tags last week the question of using Beatles and hoppers with the rubber legs was bought up to the man selling tags. He was claiming that they are not allowed and that he was told  that by a game warden. I remember a few years back that the argument over using the squirmy worm material resulted in a decision that it was not allowed but that using rubber leg material was ok. Obviously the easy answer is to not use either material for the sole purpose of not wanting to challenge a game warden. It would be nice to know that if a rule is established that it would be in writing and also that it would be part of the training process for new wardens in training.
Maybe it’s time I learned how to tie the pheasant tail legs.
      Thanks for listening

      Grasshopper,

As I did in my last post I will allow your Chairman Emeritus to answer this question.

      Steve,

I love when I get to say, “they are incorrect!” Please correct the guy at Montauk and I will correct the warden if we can find out his name. If you have a name or can get a name please send it to me.

      Kenny
