      We Have all been in the situation of not catching fish. When that happens, u change flies to see if u can break the code.
      But, if u are catching fish and u hve caught several, do u change flies to see what else they will bite on?

      There is an old fisherman’s saying, “You don’t leave fish to find fish”, I guess that goes for changing flies as well. Stick with what is working. Personally, I would try different flies because I am stupid that way.

      When I am catching fish, once a certain number has been brought to hand, I like to experiment. Try the same fly in a different color. Try a different fly in the same color as they have been hitting on. Go up or down on hook size. It won’t take but a few casts to figure out that the fish are not all that picky or that they are not giving your changed fly any looks. You can always put the original fly on that was catching fish.
      So now I have figured out that the fish are keying in on color, type of fly, size of fly or anything else I have tried. Just part of the education in fly fishing.

      Thanks, Sensei and Bob. I will continue to experiment when the fishing is good and try to learn from my experiences.

      So, Sensei recommends breaking a good wheel so that you can learn how to fix a broken wheel. Grasshoppers, be aware who the real SENSEI is and follow his advice. Remember that they didn’t change nets but just threw them over the other side of the boat. Just saying
