Several years ago a coworker told me about a leader he found at Feather Craft. It’s called “Lucky Dog Leader”. It’s a tapered leader with a loop at each end. It’s 7’ long and starts with a 3x or 4x and tappers down to about a 6x. I really like using this leader and it makes changing tippet sizes easy, like having a ring. It also does not kink, just give it some stretches before you start fishing and it straightens out nicely. I believe Feather Craft is the only place that sells it, as it’s made by them.
Lastly, I just wanted to give Kenny a big thanks for a great class that concluded last night. Looking forward to getting out on the water in the near future.
