How much should I tip my guide?

Here’s an issue we often struggle to answer when we take guided fly-fishing trips from the Meramec River to exotic international waters.  And even when we settle on an answer that we think is right, we aren’t really certain.

Here’s candid advice from a fly shop I have used for years.  The author, Steve Wilson, is a long-time guide and now the store manager for Frontier Anglers in Dillon, MT.  I thought his blog was full of very helpful advice.  I hope it helps you.
