FATC Trip Report for April 11, 2025
Bob Hassett and Scott Dougherty fished at Westover Farms for the day. It was Scott’s birthday month-so free day of fishing at Westover for him. Both Lisa and Tom were there to greet them at the fly shop and tell us the rules. Morning was overcast which made for pretty good fishing.
Both Bob and Scott caught many fish today and had a good day of fellowship. Bob had 13 in the net for the date and many more on the line. Scott caught 18 in the net and many more on the line. Weather cleared up by afternoon and sun came out in late afternoon. Bob reported he was catching on olive woolybuggers, zebra midge and blowtorch. Scott was catching on leech pattern, egg pattern with midge droppers, and green perdigons. Trout ranged in size from small to over 18 inches long with many putting up a good fight to get in the net. Water was high and running fast and murky.
Fellowship dinner was at Rich’s Famous burgers in Steelville. Great day fishing at Westover Farms!
