Hello FATC,
We are doing a family vacation to Michigan’s lower peninsula. We’re staying close to the Manistee River. I checked the FATC travel map but no info. If anyone is familiar with this river and can recommend a guide service or give any river information. I would appreciate anyone’s insight. I’m hoping to check off my bucket list of catching a brookie on this trip!?
Thanks.
Mike O.
P.S. Probably a good time to get a TroutRoutes subscription! LOL
Don’t know anything about that River but it looks like it would be a great place to travel to. Please share your experience when you get back. Safe travels and God Bless your family.
Steve aka, double double.
Beautiful area. I’ve vacationed in Ludington, just south of Manistee many times and fished Hamlin Lake and Bass Lake near Pentwater to the south. There are a lot of bait and tackle shops in the area that should be able to help. Have fun. Check out Ludington State Park, great beaches and hiking there.
Thanks Ken for your input and Steve definitely will share the experience.
Kind regards.
