I find that when I’m out fishing, I tend to not drink enough water. Kind of a big deal when it’s hot out. I usually carry extra water in my truck, but I don’t want to get out of the river long enough to go refill.
Obviously, you shouldn’t drink straight from the river because, well, you know. I stumbled across a product that seems to solve my problem, Grayl. https://grayl.com
Its a water bottle with a built in filtration system. It seems to be better than the Katadyn filter that I’ve used and it removes heavy metals. It also fits nicely in my sling bag.
I went kayaking at Finger Lakes State Park and decided to give it a whirl this weekend. Let’s just say, so far so good. The thing that really impressed me is that it really improved the taste of the water. Usually I can tell that it came out of a lake or stream.
Anyway, I figured I’d pass this along in case anyone else was looking for something to help them keep their water intake up when it’s hot outside.
Great idea. I’m one of those that do not drink enough water when I’m on the water fishing. We need to stay hydrated especially during the summer months.
