Here is a trip report from the Denver Fellowship Lead, Greg Krochta, on his recent trip to Steamboat Springs. The Denver fellowship picked a new name FITR, stands for Flyfishers In The Rockies. If you ever get out to Colorado and want to fly fish please contact Greg – he knows the spots and will probably fish with you too!!
Guys,
I just spent the last week vacationing in Steamboat Springs, and snuck in some fishing time too. I had a great day fishing the clear tailwaters of the Stagecoach Reservoir, and also put in a few hours fishing the Yampa River right in-town on a couple of other days, sometimes in the sunshine, sometimes in the freezing rain. Despite the “chocolate milk” color and high flows on the Yampa in-town, the fish we’re still there! Even my daughter, Alicia, got in on the act just before leaving on Friday!
If you haven’t done so yet…get out and fish! If you’re thinking about it, send out a blast email to see who else might be interested!
Well, all “good things” must come to an end, so my 2-month “taste of retirement” is over and I’m back to the cockpit of the B737 tomorrow…I just hope I remember where they keep the keys!
Your Brother in Christ,
Greg
FITR Lead

Put on the whole armor of God…that you may be able to withstand evil…and having done all, to stand.
…gird your loins with truth, put on the breastplate of righteousness…
…shod your feet with the equipment of the gospel of peace, take the shield of faith…
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
