New York State Brown by Brian Ellis.
I recently returned from another trip to Western New York State during the second week of November to fish for Ontario Lake run brown trout. I posted a more extensive report last fall so please refer to that if you are interested.
This year the trip was almost cancelled because many of the Lake Erie and Lake Ontario stream flows were too low to fish. At the last minute, my Buffalo friend Mike and I decided to give it a go and we’re glad that we did. Although the low water conditions concentrated the fishermen on the few available streams, as you can see, many nice brown trout were caught.
There were a few Atlantic Salmon around this year, and a few were hooked but none were landed. Perhaps next year!
