Here’s a trip report from Bill Byington – trying to get revenge from his last disappointing trip!!
Kenny, I went to Montauk to try to make up for the miserable showing from the last trip and managed to do a little better. I caught two (picture of one of them included). on a blue Copper John. these were fat and feisty fish. And caught another and lost one on a Cerise Worm. All of the ones I caught were in the afternoon. under a cloudy and sometimes drizzly sky. The fish are eating emergers apparently but I didn’t see any hatches to speak of other than a small brownish colored Mayfly I did get a look at.
