I (John Walker) recently spent a week in Branson and was able to fish Taneycomo every morning. The current generation schedule for Tanycomo is pretty consistent this summer. The Corps is running one generator with flows around 1500 cfs which is very good for fishing. Around 12-1 pm they go up to 3 generators and ~ 10,000 cfs. So, each morning around 8am I was able to get out and the fishing was pretty good each day. Fog is on the river til 9:30 or so and once it burns off the fishing picks up. When the fog was on the water a woolly booger worked well but I had best luck with a size 14 pink scud. Once the fog burned off and the sun was on the water the P&P did really well. I caught several ~13-15 inch trout on the P&P. In talking to the folks at River Run it sounds like that is going to be the schedule for the rest of the summer.
