Here is a trip report from Greg Krochta (Lead of the Denver Fellowship) as five of his guys hit the waters of Colorado. They fished the South Platte river just southwest of Denver:
This past Tuesday 5 of us (yes…I said 5!) Fr. Lou, Fr. Ted, Doug Kretzmann, Todd Halberg and myself went out on an afternoon run to the “Hole-In-The-Wall” in Trumbull on the S. Platte River, and a GREAT time was had by all! It was a beautiful day and the fish were certainly present…each of us getting at least one fish…rainbows and a brown in the 14”-18” range. Todd fought a 20”+ beast of a rainbow that won the battle after 10 minutes of excitement. At least he recovered his flies from his previous hook-up with the fish, so all was not lost. After a great day on the river, we enjoyed fellowship over dinner and shared plenty of stories of fishing trips past.
Awesome day for the Denver fellowship as their fellowship slowly grows. If you take a trip to Colorado look them up cause they know the spots!! Thanks, for the report Greg!!
