I had the privilege of attending the Denver Fly Fishing show in Denver, Colorado the weekend of January 4th -6th with Tim Graham. Tim has been a member of the FATC since the beginning and several years ago moved to Colorado. Tim has bugged me for years to attend with him and this was the year that my January schedule finally freed up.
This is one of the biggest fly-fishing shows in the U.S. Every rod, reel, fly line, etc. company was there along with fly fishing lodges from all over North and South America. There were fishing seminars after seminars where if you stayed for two weeks you still wouldn’t be able to see them all. Tim and I picked out the seminars that interested us – about eight and learned a lot about fly fishing, locations, techniques and more. We also attended the International Film Tour’s 2020 opening film tour – Awesome videos!
I had the opportunity to talk and meet up with fly fishing celebrities such as Landon Mayer, Son Tao, Tim Flagler, Dave Whitlock, Pat Dorsey, Jen Ripple, Terry and Wendy Gunn, Pete Kutzer, the gang from the Original Ty-rite (my precious) and more. It was an awesome weekend. I’m hoping next year we can bring a large group to the show. Be ready Tim – we’re coming. Enjoy the pictures of the show.
