Advanced Nymphing Class
On January 31st we had our FATC Advanced Nymphing class for all members at the Chesterfield Library. Over 40 FATC members showed to ‘up their nymphing game’. The class took nymphing to the next level with how to prepare, approach the waters, techniques and more. The 1 hour and 45-minute class discussed all aspects of nymphing. The members had many of their questions answered and even learned a couple new techniques that they probably have never tried before.
At the end of class there was a raffle for a FATC logo cap won by John Muckerman. Kenny announced that the next class will be on Euro-Style Nymphing (ESN). This is the latest in fly-fishing techniques here in the United States but has been used by the Europeans for some time. It’s the reason they do so well in the international tournaments. But the United States team have caught up with the Europeans and now perfect this technique which catches more fish.
Keep an eye open for this next class. Hope to see you there and Tight Lines!
