ParticipantI thought I was the only one not catching fish in this group. So I guess I will follow the same advice given to Barry and concentrate on nymphing my next trip out. I do have trouble with a few other things, one being the twist I keep getting in my tippet at the tippet and leader connection and if I am using an indicator I get twists at that point. I’ve also noticed that when I pull new tippet off of the spool it tends to have a lot of curl in it. If anyone has advice on these issues please clue me in. I’m spending way to much time with the line out of the water.
Thanks Steve Baker

ParticipantI also received a letter back from MDC about the use of rubber in some of the flies that we tie. Doesn’t seem to be much bend in the regulations. While I’m not willing to give up on the campaign I am looking for suggestions for materials to use in place of the rubber leg materials. Mainly for terrestrials.

ParticipantI like the looks of the New Zealand strike indicator but it seems like they have to be made right on your leader or tippet while on the stream. Is there a way to make them at home so they are ready to attache to the leader/tippet? Just wondering if anyone has fished the o ring strike indicator like Jim Misiura makes on a YouTube video? Would they work as well as the New Zealand strike indicator?

ParticipantI’ve got new rock treads installed on my boots, waders are clean and ready to go, I’ve even been trying to practice my casting which has a ways to go, but I won’t give up. I could use advice on getting the memory out of my fly line. Other than that I’m just waiting for the weather to cooperate.
