KeymasterYes, it took me a little while to get used to the new format. Not sure that I really like it better. Nevertheless, the next time we are together, I’ll walk through with you how I manipulate the new display. It’s too hard (or I am too lazy) to write it out here.

KeymasterHey guys, this is a limited time offer. You have to book with them before close of business November 25. After that, they have to open it up to their other customers. If you’re the slightest bit, interested, get moving now!

KeymasterWow, John. That is very thought-provoking.

KeymasterThanks Mike. What a shame. I read the hatchery losses were due to poor water quality. Do you know what caused the poor quality?

KeymasterTo be honest, my experience with boot longevity has been similar to yours. In my experience, boots just don’t last that long. At least not as long as waders do. I think I get about two years out of my boots. But I feel your pain. You would think the top of the line Simms boots would last say 3 to 5 years. But speaking of unusual wear, I know several guys in FATC, including me, who are experiencing the upper parts of their Simms boots wearing out much sooner than expected. Quite disappointing. Regarding your question about Simms repairing the boot sole, I have found it cheaper to have a local shoe repair shop repair my boots.

KeymasterI picked up a size 13 felt bottom pair for fishing out west and Arkansas. They will be especially good for guided float trips when the guide doesn’t want cleated boats in his boat.
Matt, thanks for this great tip!!!

KeymasterI have to admit, a trip to Labrador for monster brookies is starting to “rise” to the top of my list.

KeymasterHey Dominic, we have several guys who are going to start fly tying. Can you post a picture of your vise with the name and model?
