Correction, these rods are freshwater but can also be used for saltwater.

Thank you for reply and suggestion.  That’s great advice.  I remember my grandmother taking Doans Pills for her back aches.  Heading to Walgreens now to pick some up.

I wash mine in front load washing machine every 2 or 3 trips with a minimal amount of detergent on warm gentle cycle then pull out and empty water that has collect in bottom of boots.  I then put in dryer on air dry setting.  Been washing same pair of Simms waders for last 4 years this way and no problems.  This process is pretty much what Simms posts on their website for wader care.

John, I appreciate your commentary. I have several buckets that I’m sure are leaking and after reading this it’s brought clarity to the things that I need to discipline myself to do a better job.  God, Spouse & Family.  Something we can discuss during our study.  Thanks again for directing my attention to these priorities.

    Hey Al,

You may find it easier to get used to euro and casting by not starting out with a micro leader but a more tapered euro leader then gradually transitioning to micro leader.  I think Kenny or Jim mentioned Devin Olsen.  Also check out Lance Egan.  They are both on Team USA for competition fly fishing and have many topics on YouTube including Euro leader formulas.

Oh Lord! Sounds like he may be in a low place and may need help.  That chili and wild turkey combination can have a devastating effect on your body.  I’m thinking an intervention sooner than later.

I have a 10’ 6” – 3wt. Marryat Tactical Pro Special Nymph Rod.  Like the feel.  Very sensitive. Down locking reel seat.  Paired with a 5wt reel for balance.  .022 Cortland euro nymph line.  I make my own leaders.
