Barry Dunegan euro nymphs as well. I believe euro nymphing is a catchall term. You have French, Polish as well as Czech styles. Any nymph can be used for euro nymphing the difference seems to be that you use stronger hooks and bigger weights to get your nymphs down faster and be able to hall the fish out without bending or your hooks. Some of the types of nymphs would be like the Frenchy or some caddis the use of jig style hooks seems to be in order.

I took a trip To JoAnns fabrics to check out the Ott lights with magnifiers and they had a few that were marked 50% off. I went home and found one online even cheaper so I ordered it and one that I can where at the fly tieing class. Got it on Amazon Prime for 0 bucks because my wife is a compulsive reader and buys books for our Kindles. Still got money left over for tieing supplies.

Thanks, Mike, This would work great for the tying class. I believe that for my home bench a regular magnifying lamp would be more comfortable. I found a lamp on Amazon that should work. It is made by Ott. I have read other tyers like them. Still open to suggestions.

I bought half of a white cape. I was checking out the cream cape that F-C had. It was more than I wanted to pay, it was rated silver so I spotted some light ginger and white bronze rated capes and I couldn’t really see that much difference between them and the cream with the Ginger having some light brown streaking. I took the white and now I want to know if I can die these hackles to match the colors I may want. Like yellow for the Yellow Sally. I did a small hackle with a red magic marker and was thinking a yellow hi-liter. Any ideas or tips.

I think If I can find it I will buy a cream half cape. I can use it on several flies. Would anyone be interested in that?

Tim, that yellow Sally Stimulators calls for a yellow hackle. I think a 100 pack of yellow in size 14 would be great. If you cant find that a half cape and split that would be more than I would probably ever use. I would like to go halves with someone as I don’t think I would use it for anything other than the Stimulators or some streamers. Kenny said we could use a light color. Do you think Chartuese would work? Or would that be too vulgar?

We caught fish ar the springs and in the river when the weather was 18 degrees. early I caught fish on scuds then it warmed up and emergers and Griffith gnats were key, those were smaller size 18 and 20. So yes fish do bite in the cold but smaller flies may be the key.

Sunburst’s Facebook page says they are open for camping and they have rooms in the “Hanger”. I read on Ozark Angler forum that River of Life will allow access, their Facebook page said they have some cabins available you probably should call before going as I am unsure as to how old some of the info is.

Mike this is NOT a G Loomis rod. Gary Loomis sold the name along with the company to Shimano. This was his first fly rod since he sold the company, a no-compete clause in the sale I heard. So TFO was supposedly selling or handling the merchandising but the word wasn’t getting out. I don’t know if he is getting out of the fly rod game or if he wants to release a new version. His main business is, or was making rod blanks for other companies. That’s what I know of the rod company. While I am at it I forgot Mystic Rod company has a buy one get one free on their Reaper rods. Their five weight gets good reviews if I hadn’t blown my money on a computer I would look at a 3 weight and a six.

Look at craft stores like Michaels as well. They have feathers from different birds Like Pheasant, Ostrich, Peacock.

I hesitate to add this but UV2 Ice dubb in peacock works well but you have to dub small amounts at a time. It is kind of wiry and can be hard to dubb if you use too much at once.
