I tie a lot of Perdigon nymph patterns. For the bodies I use tinsels, Krystal Flash, Veevus Body Quill along with a number of other body materials. For this pattern to be effective a UV resin is required. The best I have found to date is a Solarez product called Bone Dry. It does not turn cloudy, nor yellows and is not tacky. It has a ultra-low viscosity. The product comes with a nail brush type applicator. Cost is $15.00 for a 4 oz. bottle pretty cheap for a UV resin. If interested check out
http://www.SOLAREZ.com. They also have a great UV torch. As a side note, Solarez is the creator of UV resins. They started making the stuff to coat surfboards before putting on a painted finish.
Just an FYI.
