Forum Home › Fishing Travel › Trout season is all but over, but we don’t have to stop fishing
With the end of trout season here I plan on doing some winter catch and release fishing. I hopefully will be posting some trips to fish below the park at Montauk, Tan Vat, Baptist Camp and Welch Spring. If you would like to check out these locations google Missouri Trout Hunter, he has a lot of info on the Current River. We can get to any of these areas in about 2 hours and 40 minutes or less.. It will be a chance to fish some different water for a change. You won’t need a trout tag, but you do need a trout permit. If your a senior you can get a lifetime trout permit for $35.00 on line through the Missouri Department of conservation. If anyone wants to keep a line wet through the winter with me keep an eye on the FATC calendar and look for my post or add one yourself. It will be a great way to keep the fellowship going.
