Wanted to share this brief video from Tim Flagler on efficient way to tie on tippet rings. Yes, I was one of those who was removing them from the carrier before tying to my leader. I can’t tell you how frustrating it was. No more frustration after watching video.
Love tippet rings. Often I have a 3x leader and will run a 6x tippet. No issues on miss matched diameters.
Another advantage is if you hang up a fly the tippet will break at the ring and u only loose ur fly and not a whole leader.
