Ok you fly tying gurus, is there a difference between Super Hair and Supreme Hair? Here’s why I ask. I have been tying size 18 Craven’s Juju Beatis from the video on our website. The video uses Super Hair to wrap around the shank to give the abdomen segmentation. I could not find Super Hair locally and instead bought Supreme Hair, as I was told it was the same thing. Even the J Stockard web site lists their product as “Supreme Hair (Super Hair).” However, using Supreme Hair, I can barely see the segmentation. Heck, I can barely see the Supreme Hair when I tie it in. Is Supreme Hair thinner diameter than Super Hair, or is it because the video is so magnified that the Super Hair just look’s thicker?

I use Ultra Hair – same as the others.Make sure you use contrasting colors then the segmentation will come out better. And yes, it is small.
Here is invitation to come over and tie them at my house. I need some and could use the practice. Plus I just finished tying at the Branson Fly Fishing Expo and have fallen in love with my Donegan opti-vision magnifiers (glass only and magnification distance size #4)
