My Mrs and I are headed to the Smoky’s mid October and she’s kicking me out for a day or two to go fish. I’m starting to do a bit of research on places to fish in the park. I’ve read some things about the Little River, Abrams Creek over in Cades Cove. I’m open to hiking a bit to get to some places, but nothing crazy. For reference, we’re staying closer to Gatlinburg, about 15 minutes from the Orvis shop (which could be really really bad). Any advice on good streams to fish while I’m there? I’ve got a 7′ 3wt that I was planning on taking, and a shorter fiberglass 5wt that seems like it might be appropriate.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
