<p style=”text-align: center;”>On a Sad Note:</p>
Gerald Lee “Jerry” Cook, age 73, of J Cook flyshop, in Saint James, Missouri passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020. He was born in Paducah, Kentucky in 1947
Jerry found much enjoyment in life riding his Harley Davidson, fly rod building, and floating & fly fishing in the rivers of Missouri and Arkansas. Jerry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war in the 169th Engineer Battalion.
Jerry was one of the fun and interesting characters one meets along the way in the world of Midwest Missouri Fly fishing. He will be greatly missed.
Just saw this. Thank you for posting. As I was getting back into the sport, I talked with him numerous times. Never met him, but he would always spend as much time on the phone with me as was needed. Really nice Guy. Was hoping one day he could build a rod for me-he was really known for building heirloom rods. Jerry you were a gentleman and a scholar. Sad that we never met in person.
RIP J Cook!
