I’ve been experimenting with the tag ends while nymph fishing. I’ve tied several 8 inch tippets with a perfection loop at one end. I’ve added UV cure goo near the knot of the perfection loop hoping to make it “stiff” so it sticks straight out from the leader. “Loop” it above a surgeons knot and add a fly. I’ll test it and let you know how it goes. Just trying to have the tag end not loop or twist around the leader but stick straight out.
