Dear FATC fishing comrades:
after many years of trying to study and unravel what goes on at a stream, any stream, I find myself further from being able to understand than when I started. (Kinda like figuring out women, but that’s for another forum. )
I’ve resorted the FATC charts, but find them interesting but confusing. For example, where is this info applicable, what bug equals which fly (nymph, dry, emerger) and what type of water (riffles, pools, tailouts, etc) does each work best on.
I get that the hatch chart is just a general guideline.
But before delving deeper into this subject, my question is this: has anyone in FATC ever used the hatch charts with any level of success?
As of Nearly 2 years later, I guess not.
Never received a single response …

From Bill Byington,
I thought this Hatch Chart and guide might be interesting to the Forum. https://drive.google.com/file/d/18Axc73D3wMMoDTCGMVWJ_qYaAF9DNs61/view?__s=56j4nxgw58jolah5l2k1
