I am planning a trip to the Bahamas next year (2024) to chase Bonefish. The schedule is a bit fluid but probably the end of March or beginning of April. April seems to be a good month to fish for Bones.
It looks like Abaco island would be a good choice for a weeks worth of fishing as there are a host of inclusive lodges there. The lodges I have looked at are dedicated to fishermen, mostly flyfishing, and offer full service accommodations. Rooms are either double or single occupancy, have A/C, meals are included.
Have not solidified any plans/reservations yet but looking to see who might be interested in a trip to the Salt!
Am thinking about six days of fishing with a combo of wade and skiff action. Abaco is located with plenty of flats to fish. This is flexible on what a group would want to do. We can decide what length of stay works best.
You will need at least two Salt Water rods (7 t0 9 wts, 8 wts are most popular) along with the appropriate Salt Water Reels and lines. Typically you bring your own flies and gear. Some lodges will rent rods and gear, just depends.
Costs vary depending on length of stay and the level of accommodations provided. The range of fees I have seen range from $5500 to $7800 for 7 nights/6days of fishing.
If you are interested in pursuing some Salt Water Bone fishing, please contact me at:

OK,
The trip is set and we need one more person. Going to South Andros Lodge leave Feb8. and return Feb. 14th. Four days of Bone fishing with some Cuda and possible Permit thrown in.
If you are interested, you can contact Chris Conant at T. Hargroves flyshop for more info.
This is gonna be fun.
