  First I would like to thank Kenny for the tournament we had at the Fly Tying class last night. He supplied the materials and the good times were on.

  I also want to add my thanks to Kenny for putting together yesterday’s fly tying tournament. Even though I got the worst draw of materials (probably on purpose) and Matt McClure got all the goods stuff in his material bag (also, probably on purpose).
  
  But seriously, it was fun to see what we could create with a random selection of materials. It was an evening of great banter. Once the pictures of the flies are posted on the FATC website, you will see that we have some pretty talented fly tiers in the group. Watch our Son Tao!

  Jim, you are certainly correct about Kenny’s efforts and the tournament I have to disagree about you getting the worst materials. I feel confident in saying my selection of materials were the absolute dregs of the sweepings from Kenny’s floor. I literally found dog hair among the contents of the bag. Still, I did include them in the fly so I still qualified as a contender.

  Yes, it was a good night, fun had by all. There was a lot of wine about material content. But most of you had to know you were not meant to win. I would like to view the 12 pro tied flies. And how do I get a tool bar. See, I admit too defeat. Only because my material bag was stuff sucked up off of the warehouse floor of Whiting Farms, Wapsi, Hareline, Veevus and etc. I look forward to our 2nd annual Fly Tying contest.
