A couple of weeks ago we had a discussion about Peacock herl and the importance of quality material. I believe that also applies to Elk hair. What I had was old and brittle. I went out and bought the best piece of hair I could find. I looked for elk hair with no taper but came to abrupt tips. I did find a piece of cow elk. It has helped some. I also went from TMC200R size 14 to a size 12. I have completed my first Stimulator, is it good? Well, it is good enough to fish when no one is looking. Buy from Wooly Bugger, best advise today.
