Forum Home › General Discussions › Is this now the TRADITION??!!
I love tradition. Maybe it’s because of my sports background or fighter pilot background. Like the Fighting Irish tapping the sign “Play Like a Champion Today” as they go on the field. Or the “many” traditions we had in the fighter squadrons I belonged to. So be it, we have a tradition in the Flyfishers at the Crossing.
It looks like this tradition is catching on. One of our favorite places to eat our fellowship dinner after a day of fishing is Hicks BBQ in Cuba (Missouri that is). And for the last six months the “new guys” have been partaking in the tradition of ordering an ORY’s SPUD after they have finished their ‘graduation’ on the water from the FATC fly fishing class. And better yet, old heads who have never had the Ory’s Spud are jumping on the bandwagon so they can say, “Yes, I, too, have eaten an Ory’s Spud”.
So Have you? Eaten an Ory’s Spud? If you haven’t don’t be left out of the “club” of guys who have devoured the spud!!
Been there. Done that on several occasions. They are very good. The con is your typically in for a half roll wipe the following morning. ?
